The cups are placed on the skin and air is suctioned out, creating negative pressure. In physical therapy, this negative pressure releases trigger points in the muscle, bringing in blood flow and nutrient exchange. The cups are then moved along the body, pulling the muscle up and allowing for a deep relaxation in the body.
